Makes me want to become a baseball groupie...........well, almost! May 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
She's back. Part owner of 'Thrill Seekers' (a personal tour guide company for extreme adrenaline junkies) Taylor Hannah, aka 'Fearless', is back in town and about to tackle her biggest challenge and regret; leaving the only man she's ever loved. Pro-baseball pitcher Brek Srtyker, is getting married. But not to her. No, she had her chance three years ago and left him standing at the altar. But now its time for closure. Time to mend fences. Face her mistakes. Move on. She owes it to herself, and most of all, she owes an explanation to Brek.
Only its really hard to let go and move on when all the emotions come flooding back with just one look at Brek. She missed her chance three years ago and regret is a hard pill to swallow, but she must. Reality is staring her in the face. He's got a new fiance. No fantasy reunion in her future.
But what if she really did have another chance? Would she run again or stay for better or worse?
Holy cow! Angell really knows how to write one HOT baseball themed contemporary romance! Seriously, the sexual tension in this book is scorching! Makes this baseball non-enthusiast want to become a groupie! -well almost!
I found the writing to be witty, humorous and fast paced. The characters are wonderful and well developed. And romances are excellent. (The second being between Taylor's strait-laced sister Eve and the relief pitcher Sloan McCaffrey (a man who changes women like underwear))
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Its the third in the series after Squeeze Play and Curve Ball. All the books are stand alone, but I personally loved them all and can't wait for the next one.
So if your in the mood for a really awesome contemporary romance thats high on wit and humor, blended with some sizzling sexual tension & love scenes, then you'll love this one.
Recommended.
As good as ever! May 7, 2008 The third book in the series about the lives and loves of the players of the Richmond Rogues, Strike Zone hits the spot again. I received the book yesterday and had to finish it before turning out my light to go to sleep. Taylor Hannah makes for a different "heroine" from any book I've read in this genre, she's gutsy and fearless except for when it comes to love. Her sister Eve is the second female character and I found her even more interesting, the quiet sister looking for love. All in all, an excellent read with characters we know from previous books and new characters we want to know more about in the next one. Roll on book four!
