Very important work July 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A very important book. Bauman seems to summarise his most essential points about liquid modernity, what it does to us, and how we can cope with it. It's actually - in midst of all the gloom and pessimism - an optimistic book that outlines the path to go for humanity if we want ethical values to have any influence and politics to make a difference. Read it and get wiser - and maybe a little hope for the future. Maybe it's not all "murder" (as Leonard Cohen warns us...).
