A mindblowing trip through the galaxy March 25, 1999 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
An amazing colourful book full of photographs of planets, stars, supernovas, galaxies, astronauts and so on. Most of the photographs come from NASA and the Hubble Space Telescope so you see the real thing instead of an artists impression. The book starts with the sun and solar system and travels out into the cosmos, visiting the moon and all the planets on the way. There are also sections on living in space and how to eat and go to the toilet in zero gravity! It is full of amazing facts, e.g. did you know that a pinhead as hot as the Sun's core would set fire to everything within 62 miles? This is a lively and fun book that anyone will enjoy, not just experts but also people like me who know very little about space and the universe.
