Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars A concise introduction to British Politics.   June 17, 2008
The NBP offers a concise introduction to British Politics, which can be used at A Level and undergraduate level. Packed with facts, it has an interesting dual usage - it keeps students awake with interest by day, and puts the tired undergrad to sleep at night. Recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Very Good, particularly for those at A Level   June 2, 2006

Having used this textbook both at a level and degree level i can recommend it. For 'A' Level, some of what it covers can occasionally dip into the academic, which isnt particularly helpful, but it expands well on all the themes you are likely to cover studying British Politics. For degree level, though rather simplistic, it provides a very good basic overview, espescially for first year students who did not do an A Level in the subject. A Level students wanting depth and a wider perspective should buy this book, as it would certainly enrich their studies and beef up marks for 'wider knowledge', those wishing for a quick and effective revision book should look elsewhere however.

4 out of 5 stars Very comprehensive, but better for A-Level.   March 2, 1999

The New British Politics is a very comprehensive book and is one of the most recent that covers all subjects within the field. It is particularly good in terms of its content on newer political issues such as devolution, electoral reform and constitutional reform. However, it could be described as being rather simplistic for people of degree level and is far better suited to a student at A-Level and people with limited political knowledge.

4 out of 5 stars THE BOOK...   November 1, 1998

THE BOOK IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR A-LEVEL. IT HAS A LOT OF STUPID CARTOONS IN IT. ENOUGH TO DRIVE ANY SANE PERSON MAD. THE COVER SHOWS A CARTOON VERSION OF THE LABOUR PARTY
