Not a Favourite!! February 27, 2008 Even though i am a huge fan of Freya North books, this is not one of my favourites! Sally is a self-obsessed charectr who u find yourself hating in parts of the book! to start with it was enjoyable but became tyring and i just wanted to finish it...Freya North is a great authour who i would highly recomend , however i much prefer love rules and pillow talk!
Sally January 9, 2008 This was the first Freya North book I read a few years ago now and since then I've been completely hooked. Yes, it may be a little bit predictable, but there will be at least one point in the book, where you know you've been there yourself.
Absolutely brilliant Saturday afternoon read, with glass of wine and a bar of chocolate.
Awful, awful, awful! April 15, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Please don't waste your time reading this dreadful book. The characters are empty and very annoying. The plot is unrealistic (what little there wi in the way of plot) and the writing style is juvenile. Here's a little tip for the author - when giving a character a job, maybe talk to people who do that job so you at least have some element of accuracy in your work.
Awful October 4, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After hearing good things about Freya North I thought I'd give this a go. I found this to be the most irritating, insepid rubbish I've ever read. The characterisation is terrible, the vile & unnecessary "sex" scenes. All in all, there was not one single redeeming point about this book.
No personality or flair.... forgettable chick lit January 9, 2005 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I often try and find something good to say about books I don't enjoy as I appreciate that every piece of writing takes a mammoth effort to complete. However I find that very difficult with any of Freya North's works- and particularly this book. I didn't feel any warmth towards any of the characters and I also found the try-hard eroticism of some of the scenes in the novel dispiriting. For chick lit with intelligence, wit and charm, forget Freya North and search for anything by Marian Keyes. Freya should look for another day job!!
