Not enough Romans February 9, 2008 Good, but not classic post-Goscinny Asterix. Uderzo tells a nice visual story and the script, in English translation, is well adapted with all the usual terrible puns - but there's little here that is really inspired. The Arabian Nights in India story is fine, we get the usual fun with the pirates and there's a nice cameo by Julius Caesar, but really you miss the big punch-ups with the Romans.

Asterix and Obelix are off on their 30th adventure, this time in the company of their dreadful bard Cacofonix. They travel via magic carpet to the mysterious India where Cacofonix is the only one who can save the lovely princess Orinjade from being sacrificed to appease the gods. With Hoodunnit plotting to bring down the Rajah, time is of the essence, can they resuce the princess in time, you'll have to read it to find out.
