5 out of 5 stars shed a tear for norma jeane   May 10, 2003

this book tells of the sad and tragic life and death of a young woman who as a child had no idea of the love and warmth a family can give. we all know how the story goes, norma jeane went from foster home to foster home while her mother was in a mental institution, in her teens was spotted by a photographer and the rest is history. well this book almost gives you a day to day account of her life from beginning to end. although the book is fascinating, i dont think her life ended in the way its written here, its the only part if the book that doesnt ring true to me, but thats my opinion and i highly recommend anyone to give this book a look, i thought i knew more or less everything about marilyn being a huge fan, but there is so much more to this woman than you could imagine but have a hanky ready at the last chapter, whether you love her or hate her, you,ll still shed a tear for norma jeane.
