Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars 'as simple as possible, but no simpler' - einstein   June 14, 2005
Unlike other microbio txtbooks, this one doesn't just list genus after genus. It equips you with an approach to the question, 'this colony growing right here, what do I do to find out what it is?' - which is systematic, comprehensive, appropriately reinforcing (the tables are 2colour coded, v helpfully), informally written (simply put), and there's even a whole section on 'how to perform diagnostic tests' with colour photos of the possible results. Don't just take my word for it, try reading it yourself.
