This is cool. Perfect xmas present for your idealistic teenager (who'll identify with the main character) and a fun way to persuade someone sceptical or cynical to take an interest in today's most important and pressing issue.
Light yet heavy (,like a souffle) reading.
Incisive and informative, but painless! October 28, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This title has really impressed me - fits in A LOT of factual information that would normally have made my head hurt and made me give up. However the interesting characters of an inquisitive schoolgirl, a fatcat businessman and others, drive the narrative forward in such a way that you hardly notice the incredible learning curve you are on, and that your ethical stance is being strengthened by the educational experience you are enjoying so much. These strengths also work to ensure that those not used to the comic format will not even notice, due to the great strengths of the information being conveyed in such an entertaining way.
I thoroughly recommend this - particularly as a christmas gift for any age group, but even for teenagers, as it's definately a 'cool' read.
