5 out of 5 stars Nerds rule...UK   June 11, 2008

Don't usually bother writing reviews - more than happy just to read them usually.

However... First episode of the second series was one of the funniest 30 minutes of my life - where two computer nerds somehow find themselves at the theatre watching the gayest of gay musicals only for one to end up being mistaken for a disabled guy and the other to find himself working as a bartender. Has to be seen to be believed. The rest of the series was good but oh my god... that first one - genius.

4 out of 5 stars Found it better than Season 1   January 22, 2008

Enjoyed Season 1 and enjoyed this one more! You need to watch Season 1 first to establish the characters and see the relationships develop in Season 2. Well worth a watch.

3 out of 5 stars Excellent but...   January 17, 2008

Yes it was excellent but why so few episodes in this series? It was really getting going and that was it, episode 6, finish. I had the feeling that it was only a third of the way through the season. Surely you could have given us 8, 10 or even 12 episodes.

4 out of 5 stars Best sitcom since Spaced !   January 8, 2008

I was very impressed with the second series of the IT crowd ,the stories are a bit hit and miss but the quality of the comedy is excellent.

The main 3 characters are very funny and the dynamics between them make the series both original and fun to watch ,as said earlier there is a good joke every minute , I had to pause the DVD several times before continue watching to catch my breath.

The 6 episodes are of different quality but the musical and the dinner party are the best 2 of the whole series so far ( Yes Miss ? ). Richard Ayoade will make good anything he is in and the timing of his jokes is perfect.

The problem with the series is the supporting cast with the departure of Chris Morris, apart from an excellent Richmond Avenal ( the goth ).

There is a third series on the way and I hope they can keep the level of comedy genius.

The extras included outtakes ( just a handful ) a video journal and some commentaries.

More please

5 out of 5 stars A laugh a minute and so like every IT department!!   November 20, 2007

A real classic. We all know IT and computer nerds and this show really makes you think that you know people like the characters.

I wasn't a fan of the first series, but the second series has matured seems to be better written and acting is first class. I laughed out loud at the first episode on the DVD and I reckon it's a real comedy classic and I defy you not to laugh at the antics of the two mail characters in the theatre.

The show is cruel as it mocks not just computer nerds but it is so not PC (thats politically correct not personal computer) it makes you cringe!!!

Recommended and here's hoping for a third series.
