Save your money. Don't buy! December 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are a waste of time, and money. From the minute you buy, you have lost out, and once you have plugged them in you'll be wasting your electricity. I bought these and the stand alone Electric Insect Killer, neither of them work. If you want something that works, buy some sticky fly paper strips, or get a fly swatter, or keep the door closed, or just cover your food.

I wish I'd read the other reviews before buying one of these (I bought a single unit from Maplin) - it fails to live up to the manufacturer's claims. I'm returning mine under the distance selling regulations and I urge everyone else to do the same. What a rip off.

I have had these lights on continuously for two weeks without catching a single fly. Insects seems to fly right past it without paying any attention to the bright blue light.

I have had these plugged in now for two weeks and they have not attracted or killed a single insect They also emit such a bright blue light that you cannot have them in a bedroom They do however make very good nightlights as they light up my staircase and landing - if you like that sort of thing maybe they are for you However as insect killers they are totally useless and a complete waste of money Shame on the manufacturers and amazon for selling them

I had to give a star but I would have preferred to have given the product no rating I have had these in 3 seperate sockets around the house since Friday, it is now Monday, none of them has killed a fly or anything else.I've had to buy chemical fly killers, I thought that these lamps had eliminated the need for chemicals. These blue lights will go in the dustbin
