I have shoulder length hair of about medium thickness. These straighteners work very effectively and quickly, leaving the hair smooth and shiny. They heat up within 20 seconds or so to 200 degrees. The protective casing ensures you dont spend the whole day wondering whether you've burnt the house down ! The long cord is useful if you want to move around easily with them in hand.
The reason I gave the straighteners four stars rather than five is that compared to GHDs or other salon brands they dont make the hair as nice and silky. However it is probably more cost effective to buy these and soms styling products than a pair of 100 GHDs.

I bought these a couple of weeks ago. They heat up quickly. They straighten beautifully and quickly and I have very thick hair. These are the third straighteners I have bought over the last few years and they are the best so far. They have no edge where your hair can get stuck and pulled. My only 'complaint' is that there is no indication as to when they have reached the required temperature. I also like the heat shield they are supplied with, though I think a mat that doubles as a case would be better. That is why it only gets 4 stars.
