Amazon.co.uk Review
This is the blender of the future. It performs all the traditional blending tasks (crushing ice for margaritas, thinning ice cream) plus it can be used like a food processor (mincing garlic, pureeing peppers). The wide jar is rounder and squatter than old-style blenders, which makes it easier to reach in and scrape the sides (when the blender is off!). To reduce splatters of strawberry daiquiri, the Step Start feature starts blending slowly, then picks up to the chosen speed. This blender also comes with a booklet containing 75 recipes--including Frosty Chocolate Raspberry Latte. --Dana Van Nest

5 out of 5 stars Great Blender   February 4, 2005

This blender is superb. It's build is very solid and you can tell the quality by the weight. Cleaning is easy as it all goes in the dishwasher. The whole family have enjoyed smoothies made with this since we bought it in January. As others have said, it is expensive, but you don't mind paying for a quality product!

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant Blender   October 25, 2004

For months I have been looking for a really good blender. Many times I have been on the verge of ordering this one but the 2 negative reviews held me back. However I bought this model last week and it really is Brilliant.
I make lots of soups, desserts and drinks and can not fault it at all. Yes it is expensive but is so well made and robust it will last forever. There is also a 3 year full warranty on this product.Do not do as I did and waste time choosing from the many blenders available, this is THE ONE and it is so easy to clean.

2 out of 5 stars Yes, this was a huge disappointment...   March 14, 2004

I have just returned my KitchenAid Blender for a refund. The fact that it looks good is all there is. I agree with Danixxx from Amsterdam... the 'blades' are more like paddles having no edge to them, the motor is incredibly underpowered, and honestly it 'pulped' more than liquidised. Paying this much for a blender it seems, is no guide to its quality and functionality. Pity, it looks so good and runs quietly.

5 out of 5 stars Simply the best   May 8, 2003

I looked at every other blender before I finally justified getting this one.
O.K it was the most exppensive one around but if you are a 'foodie' who loves cooking and the idea of making great smoothies, this is for you!
Why? It looked hard wearing and had a lovely retro design.
Once I got it home, it was simply fantastic to use.

Some of the great features:
The buttons are flush so you can wipe the blender clean easily.
The glass jug attaches at any angle and comes off effotlessly.

This blender is a beast!I know it will last me many many years.

5 out of 5 stars Great for soup & smoothies.   April 11, 2003

I got one of these blenders last Christmas and I find it great for the soup and smoothies that I regularly make. I don't have to hold the lid on unless you're filling it to capacity. Even then, if I start off on the lowest speed and work my way up to higher speeds, that works pretty well. It seems very robust (quite heavy) and reasonably easy to clean. It comes apart into several bits so you can clean it pretty thoroughly, alternatively you can just wash the jug out without pulling it apart.
