This heater gives out a decent amount of heat BUT the thermostat is terrible. I've tried it in two rooms and can never find a setting which suits - its always too hot or too cold.
The heat is always "on" or "off", there are no graduations inbetween.
I am going to try a more expensive heater with proper climate control.

We bought this convector heater as our boiler is currently under repair. We were quite anxious at first - as our apartment is large and open plan. Upon receiving the heater, we automatically thought this wouldnt do the trick as it was small and light weight. We connected the legs and plugged it in, and off it went. To our suprise it works wonders and takes the cold chill out of the room in approx 5mins. Excellent value, no complicated knobs and bobs..

I bought this heater after moving into my new home which unfortunately doesn't have the best double-glazed windows in the world. As such there is a draft that can cause the room to get very cold.
I wasn't holding out much hope that this would heat my (very large) bedroom - but I can say I was pleasantly surprised. I never have it on past the second setting (there are 6) and it will keep the room comfortable and warm all night. It's fairly quiet and to be honest I don't notice it coming on at all.
Very happy with my purchase.

This convector heater is amazing value for money. I was going to get a Halogen heater, but then I saw one of these in a friend's house, and bought one.
It is very quiet, so you can leave it on at night without being disturbed.
the best thing is that I found it very efficient, it takes about 5-10 minutes to make your room quite warm. It depends on the room size, mine is a big double bedroom, and the heater does not fail to produce enough heat to conquer the freezing nights.
it also switches off automatically when it reaches the required temperature, then when it gets colder again, it starts.
after trying this heater, i felt good that I did not get the halogen heater, because this gives warm air distributed all over the room, and you will not get the annoying light with a halogen heater.
I am very glad with this performance and the price of this heater. It is certainly woth buying, and you will say goodbye to freezing winter mornings and nights.
