Smooth Mashed Potatoe November 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Its an oversized garlic press but it does the business. Smooth mash every time. Some people might have a problem wondering how long this gadget has been around without them knowing.
No extra attachments/inserts supplied with this product. October 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having purchased this item from the strength of previous reviews, I was disappointed to find that the ricer does not come with any extra attachments/inserts. I even sent it back and amazon sent a replacement but this also did not come with any attachments/inserts. As a recent reviewer has stated, there is no mention of any accessories in the product description therefore I also assume that the product specification has changed. On a positive note - it makes excellent mash !!
No separate inserts, contrary to previous reviews October 17, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I haven't used my new ricer yet (hence 5 stars to give it the benefit of the doubt) but it doesn't have any separate interts/blades, just one fixed surface with holes (quite small) in it. After reading the other reviews I had expected to receive inserts with different sized holes but now I realise that this isn't mentioned at all in the description so the product must have changed slightly since those old reviews.
New comment added: tried the ricer, loved it!! Five stars well deserved, much easier and quicker than my old masher.
does what is promised April 28, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
works well, giving light soft mash with no lumps. Came with 3 inserts but no instructions, so pot luck to use the right insert for the right food...still, gave me a lovely smooth mash. You need to have reasonably strong hands to use it, and the first time i tried I got quite a lot of mash all over myself and the worksurface, but on the whole, perfectly decent.
Kitchen Gadget of the Decade December 17, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My 8 year old son loves eating mash - he'd happily live on it all year! Now we have this super tool to make perfect mash each and every time it's wanted. No lumps; no mess; no waste; what more could you ask for? Just add some butter, milk, salt & pepper to taste and enjoy! We often like to make big fish pies - Sheppards' pies too - with loads of perfect creamy mash on top. Nothing else will do this job. And my son just loves taking a turn, to squish the potatoes through all those little holes!
