A hero July 17, 2008
This book is among one of the best books i have read and let me assure you i have read many many books, I adore reading. The author is a true heroine. I honestly don't know how she got through all that has happened to her but i take my hat (well i would if i had one on)off to her. She is an inspiration. Well done nikola for being able to share your hard and troubled life story and i wish you all the best for the future.

This book deserves its 5 stars,however it is very sad to read and not for every one it is very explicit but the Author needs to convey what really happened i have read many books but this one really shocked me, to think how one person could treat another human being in this way is apalling. If this book helps other abused women or men to find help then the Author has done her job well

Buy this book.
I can't believe how much this woman has lived through it's shocking.
As soon as you start to read this book you won't put it down even when things get bad.
She writes her life in this book so well it almost feels like your fighting the losing battle with her.
TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.
but it's not for the faint hearted

I bought this book as soon as it came out and read it in under 3 hours. I couldn't believe how someone's body could endure all this poor girl's did. I have read several books in the past on this subject but this one moved and shocked me very deeply - more than all the rest. I was really appalled by the sexual violence and degrading force of it all. I wish you all the luck Nikola - you definitely deserve it and thanks for sharing your story with us.

This is a very well written book of child abuse and the domestic abuse that came later on in life. Its a book for all types of people which helps open the eyes to the reality of how parenting and the environment around a child can affect them later on in life. Its deeply harrowing and at the same time evidence of the resilience of the human spirit. A very good read.
