was about to buy this, love her other books. just before the point of no return I thought, so why haven't I heard of this book? which led me to check it out. would have been most pissed if I had to pay to return it as unwanted once I realised it was a play!
COME ON AMAZON! sort it out and make it clear!

If you do not know an author's work well, it would be helpful if in the description it could be mentioned that it is a play rather than a novel. It would save a lot of disapointment and returned items.

I ordered this play with high hopes having heard good things about Atkinson as an author and liking the premise of the play. Personally I felt the dialogue was a little stilted and unreal, the characters didn't seem fully rounded and even the plot seemed a little dul despite the duplication of themes of abandonment between the centuries and interesting comparisons between characters doing similar things in different situations across the century. Wanted so much to like it - just didn't.

I ordered this in error so had to pay to return it. I don't think Amazon makes it clear that this is a PLAY not a novel. It's probably great - if that's what you want!
