5 out of 5 stars Best recipe book ever!   December 19, 2007
I bought this book because I love the inncent smoothies, and wanted to have a go myself. The choice of recipes inside this book are huge, and very very easy to do! Innocent also make it entertaining to read, so you don't find yourself nodding off to sleep half-way through! Also, recipes are not set in stone, so you can change what you like to suit your tastes, brilliant little book for nyone who loves a good msoothie!

I can't help but continue to love Innocent.

Lets be fair, smoothies aren't cheap - especially these ones. Unlike other companies which would rather keep their recipes under lock and key, possibly with a small gnome guarding said key, here's a book of almost every smoothie they do and will no doubt release.

Wonderfully written, friendly, informative with handily little pockets of information thrown in. Fear not if you're new to idea of smoothies (or even vegetables), Innocent tell you exactly what you need to get started, including recommendations. There's even a list of all the fruit and veg used in the recipes and what goodness they contain.

I've yet to buy a juicer and can still do over half the recipes in this book and there's a great variety of them. From kids drinks to posh stuff, helping to ease travel sickness to breakfast 'thickies', there's sure to be something to suit your mood and taste.

So, if you're wanting to have great tasting smoothies, you can't go wrong with this book.

5 out of 5 stars This has changed the way I eat!   July 4, 2007

I never used to be one for eating my 5 a day but this book certainly has loads of innovative ways of cramming them in. I think Innocent may have shot themselves in the foot a bit because I don't buy them anymore. Why buy what is essentially over priced (apart from the vanilla bean one), what you can make at home for a fraction of the cost.
I originally bought it because the book smells lovely and citrus like. My only criticism is that it is not bound very well and started to fall apart within 2 weeks.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant book - good enough to eat   March 31, 2007

The recipies, predictably, are fantastic. But I also loved the little comments that were scattered around the pages, and the stuff about the environment was interesting and thought provoking. I didn't find it 'holier than thou', as another reviewer commented, at all and there isn't really that much of it. Perhaps it depends on your sense of humour whether you like the writing style, but you'll definitely like the recipies.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   January 29, 2007

I have been a fan of the Innocent range of smoothies for ages but paying 1.75 per bottle was beginning to get to me so I decided to invest in this book and a smoothie maker to save me a few quid long term and after a week or so I am very pleased.

The recipes are great, with a good variety of ingredients used in case there are some you can't get hold of or don't like.

In addition to the headings you would expect to find (smoothies, thickies, juices) there are also a couple of other helpful sections; Posh Stuff uses slightly more sophisticated ingredients (Cherry & Dark Chocolate a particular favourite of the girlfriend) and the chapter that recommends a particular smoothie for certain occasions is also very helpful (Orange, Mango & Lime to wake you up, Prunes & Nutmeg to get things moving!)

All in all a grear book that makes getting your 5-a-day fun.
