What's the point of this book? It goes on and on from habitat to habitat listing mosses found and refound in those habitats. This encyclopedic knowledge would better suit a field guide in a more concise format. You learn very little about mosses in general and if my interest in mosses did not already exist, this book would not have raised it. If you do want to buy it, choose the hardcover, it is too thick for a paperback. Best feature of the book: the pictures!
