This dvd is fab... if you enjoyed the series this is a absolute must have. I laughed as much the second time watching the episodes as i noticed little bits that i'd missed the first time. Class.... I'll definitely be buying the 2nd series too

One of those rare shows where EVERY single character is wonderful. There are some truly great actors in G&S, from Ruth and James through to stalwarts Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman.
Plots which are funny, believable and heart-warming, characters who shine and who you actually care about...I really wanted to give Smithy a big hug on a few occasions and I'm a married 42 year old father!
I'm usually one of those kind of blokes who drone on continually about how tele was great "in the old days" and it's very rare for me to truly embrace a "modern" show, but G&S has hooked me more than anything since the Double Deckers! Mmm...maybe The Flashing Blade.
I can't recommend this DVD highly enough. Perfect. Well done, BBC.

If you missed this when it was on the BBC then get this DVD now.This show has it all, great acting from the whole cast, some classic star guests and the incredible location of Barry Island, Wales.
This is a show that has some heart at the centre in Gavin and Staceys relationship while all around the rest of the characters are totally off the wall. Take a bow everyone involved and must say i'm enjoying series 2 on BBC3 as well.

I think this is wonderful entertainment. Sends up TV, esp. sitcoms, then it becomes a sitcom in glorious awfulness. Has this fantastic dark side easy to miss[ e.g. series 2 Nessa's hand washing, or opening champagne and celebrating a dismembered body news story]. The characters are magically wonderful whilst being blatantly mundane [ oven gloves] . At its best, up there with the Simpsons; and with the Office, though strikes more notes a la Mike Leigh. Takes a few wonderful risks like Little Britain without losing the plot too much! Love it - the cast amazing and the performances brilliant. Obviously a team on a roll on both sides of the camera.
A must buy.

I love it. They are a great couple though (u no Gavin and Stacey) I love Gavin's mum and dad as they are really funny. :D :D.
Get this one if your lookin for laugh :D
