4 out of 5 stars A lot better than I expected   June 15, 2008

To be honist I wasn't planning to watch this film let alone enjoy it. Because of a fault on an inflight entertainment system this was the only film I could watch. To my suprise I actually enjoyed it.

The cast was top notch, it was well written and was very funny in places. It certainly was not dull. I loved the original St Trinians with George Cole and wasn't expecting much - how nice it was to be proved wrong.

The dvd has some excellent special features including deleated scenes and some funny bloopers. If you enjoy light comedy then this film is for you.

Hardly a joke in it.
All style, no substance....except the occasional reference to illegal ones.

No plot either.

if im honest, i only went to see it as it has russel brand in it but i still wouldn't watch it again by choice! i found it rather boring and not as funny as they claimed. i think the best bits were in the trailer and the rest was pretty rubbish!

4 out of 5 stars A highly entertaining and modern film   June 6, 2008

This film had a huge hype surrounding it, and I found this was for a very good reason. It successfully modernised the older and more well-known St Trinians series, and although many old St Trinians fans found this one boring, it may be that they are not aware how times have changed. There were many laugh out loud moments and the main characters were very likeable and played their parts well. I would recommend this - well worth watching!

2 out of 5 stars Sorry!   June 3, 2008

Having been a fan of the original St. Trinians, I so much wanted to like this one. Unfortunately the film left me disappointed. It lacks the charm of the originals, and I found the script generally lacking in humour. There are some mildy funny moments, but on the whole, pretty lack lustre.
I do see there are some positive reviews, so this may just be a generational thing. If you fancy it, take the risk, give it a go. You may be amongst those who find it good, but for me, a great disappointment.
