A good pad for the price, but be careful... March 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this pad for Christmas, and recommended it to a friend, and it has served me well until now. However I started to get problems with the analogue sticks where a minor movement to the right would be interpreted as if I had pushed the stick as far as it would possibly move. This made any games requiring an analogue stick unplayable as the character would shoot off to the right when I only wanted to make a small movement.
I bought another of these pads before this problem occurred and am going to reserve further judgement until I've tried out this pad for a while.
What I would say though, is that considering the price, while it worked, it was a great pad and comfortable to use. Another advantage is that I have not had any issues connecting more than one of these to a computer. Don't necessarily be put off by my problems as there will always be a faulty controller when this many are produced. However, just take this fact into consideration when purchasing it.
A controller for guests to use January 12, 2008 I've already got an xbox controller for my laptop but i needed an extra controller so I could play against my mates. The P480 is a good choice cause it functions perfectly, feels a lot like a ps2 controller and if it breaks it isn't such a lose because you didn't have to break the bank for it.
Not as good as a PS2 controller but ok November 8, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Not bad for the price. Shaped identically as a PS2 controller, and works well with vista. Although not exactly to the same quality as a PS2 controller it does do its job just fine. The direcetion pad can be a bit awkward at times, especially playing pro evo, as instead of moving in a straight line you move to an angle untill you readjust. Finally the shoulder buttons work fine but again is not as smooth as a PS2 controller.
really Good September 3, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
works fine with vista. i bought test drive unlimited and san andreas and it works fine with both. but the vibration well??????. test drive unlimited just have to fiddle with the steering sensitivity.
