Neat, attractive with added 'gadget' appeal February 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My partner loves the ambience of candles and the sheer convenience of these was bound to please. No burning out, no related waxy smell and no fire risk. Pretty realistic ornamentally but I wouldn't think they would be of much functional use in a power cut, so I won't throw out the emergency candle supply. Not majorly expensive so a pleasing purchase with wide appeal.
Brilliant design, but can be annoying February 28, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These are a great idea, especially if you worry about fires. You can leave them and forget about them. They look great. There's not much point going into the details, as other reviews have done that. I just wanted to say that they really could do with the option of a 'steady glow', aswell as the flickering. I found the artificial flickering effect too strong, and not easy to look at. They were okay placed out of the way on a windowsill or something, but next to the TV, or on a dining table infront of you, they were a little irritating. I'm quite sensitive though, so this probably wouldn't be a problem for most people.
Philips Imageo LED Rechargeable Candle Lights February 21, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After reading other reviews about this product, i decided to order a set of 3. I was not dissapointed and several family members decided to order this product. I found only one small down fall. I thought these were removable from the beaker to enable me to stand the tea light else were. Over all, an excellent product. Thank you
High quality easy to use product February 18, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I think my wife was a little sceptical when I gave her these. She uses a lot of candles and night-lights and wondered where she would use them. As it turns out they've been used for dinner-parties where there's no risk of anyone being burnt by a naked-flame and she also uses them at night to give a restful light to go to sleep by, and being rechargeable you can safely leave them on. Unlike some others I've seen where the candle has to be taken out of the glass and plugged in to charge and then is permanently on when it's unplugged, the Philips charges in its glass on its base and you turn it on and off by shaking. Realistic flickering effect and the light lasts for well over 12 hours.
So effective and dinky, absolutely perfect!! February 18, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I rarely take the time to write reviews on products but love these so much I thought I'd make a special effort, besides, I'm thinking about buying another 2 sets of these as a present.
I bought one set and then another for myself just recently and have used the lights every night since to create a cosy relaxing environment whilst crashed out on the sofa, light my dark hall to save leaving on the main lights and create a homely effect in my bedroom. I've also left the light on all night and find it still burning away the next day. I'll no doubt be using them for a relaxing bath ambience too.
The lights themselves are much smaller than they appear on the photographs/marketing blurb; they are just perfect. They also flicker, the frosted glass adds to the effect, they turn on and off with ease and generally appear to be of high quality. Even the chargers are minimalistic and attractive in themselves and I've stacked one set on top of the other for optimum space saving charging, with success.
These little lights have got many a comment and I rather geekily admire the simplicity and genius of them! Also great around pets and in areas that would normally be slightly risky for a real flame. Buy these (but save 2 for me!!).
