I Love this...Buy it if you love DCFC October 13, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is my fave out of all the ones I have heard. I have Plans and was really dissappointed coz it is nowhere near as good as this. It also happens to be the first Death Cab album i bought. xxx
Best of DCfC February 19, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Of all Death Cab's albums this is my favorite (ahead of the Photo Album and Transatlanticism). It has a collection of songs that tell a story in a beautiful and compelling manner and also contains some of Ben Gibbard's finest lyrical work to date. The songs individually on this album are all very strong, with not one poor track on the album. The British version also comes with three of Death Cab's older tracks (which also appear on YCPtSwC) which are also brilliant. Overall a must have for any fan of Death Cab, Indie as a genre or even Music.
it's ok but... October 25, 2005 7 out of 14 found this review helpful
i like this album, but to me it's "background music", you know, the sort of thing they have playing quietly in shops or you have playing at a dinner party or whatever.i couldn't personally pick out a stand out track, as they all sound similar and seem to blend into one, although the last track "Wait" is quite good, with an Athlete sort of vibe. i don't dislike DCFC at all, infact i love Plans, but this album is generally too slow for me, and doesn't really hold my interest.
The best album I have ever heard September 18, 2000 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is a simply stunning record. Every track shows depth, variety and sheer brilliance oozing from every pore. I have fallen in love with this to the extent that I have to listen to it at least twice a day - my only regret being that I will never again experience the sheer joy of hearing it for the first time. It is impossible to single out any of the tracks for individual comment as the album is a pure whole. Do yourselves a favour and buy this today.
