FANTASTIC FAMILY FUN October 17, 2007 43 out of 68 found this review helpful
Armed only with kitchen equipment, some magnets and this book, my seven year old daughter and I have spent many happy hours exploring physics and making a huge mess. The instructions are entertaining while being very easy to follow and HOW TO FOSSILISE YOUR HAMSTER is full of brilliant suggestions of how to have fun and learn something along the way.

If you were turned off by New Scientist's earlier books of Questions and Answers, and want something a bit more involved, this is the book you need. All of the wit and invention that you'd come to expect from O'Hare and NS, but wrapped up in a great collection of experiments that are brilliantly simple, easy to demonstrate and sure to delight people of all ages.
Great value, great fun, and with Winter drawing in it's not a bad purchase for rainy-day science.
