SCARY!!!!! (In a good way) September 5, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of THE scariest ND games ever! Why? Because if you stay in one place too long objects come to life! Like if you stay in the lounge too long you get a phone call with a creepy voice breathing into the phone!!! Also, if you stand in the hallway and look into a mirror a women walks by inside it, of course this only happens after a creepy seance in the basement. The games were doable and working around the mansion was fun! Technically, the game was easy to install so that even I could do it (we have windows XP). This is my third "Nancy" game and till now I am glued to the computer. All in all, this is a fun game for young and old (my mom likes it too) and I would recommend it to anyone who can take a few chills!
HAS TROUBLE RUNNING ON XP February 2, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Just a warning to anyone thinking of buying the game. The product details say that the game runs on XP, but the game was released in 2000 and the case itself does NOT mention XP, only win 95/98/ME and 2000. The game freezes on XP and requires messing about with version 4 of direct X and chaging your graphics colours from 32bit to 16. (Even then it will still freeze on you!)
Good Fun March 17, 2007 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
This was the first Nancy Drew interactive that I played, it was great fun and kept me occupied for ages!
The storyline was very interesting and cleverly written - lots of spooky atmosphere and some of the rooms were really rather ornate to say the least. It really brought some of the books that I had read as a youngster to life.
I really enjoyed playing this and as soon as I'd completed it, I quickly ordered another game!
Nancy Drew Message in a Haunted Mansion PC February 21, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This game kept me occupied for hours on end, the great thing about it is that it doesn't give away huge clues, it just drops in little hints. It's so satisfying when you figure something out, and when you discover something new. It really gets your brain working hard! This is definitely worth a try! *****
Nancy Drew: Message In A Haunted Mansion January 9, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This game was everything I expected from the fabulous Nancy Drew series, as it was really fun to play and I found it hard to stop playing it!
I liked the fact that there are a few puzzles going on at the same time, so if you try one puzzle and find that you just can't do it you can move on to another one. When you come back to the puzzle you left it never seems as hard! Obviously, in these games, everbody's a suspect and I liked working out who were good and bad and was even happier because I guessed correctly!
Have fun playing it, it's wicked!
