McAfee Internet Security Suite has lots of features, such as backup software, but in terms of stopping malware, it leaves a fair bit to be desired. The scanning engine operates slowly, while the program seems unable to clean many files and registry entries implanted by malicious software.
It does, however, come with a decent enough firewall, one which successfully masked a protected PC from attempts to scan it from the outside. And by default, it allows all programs to connect to the internet. If you require the additional protection (but potential annoyance) of blocking unknown programs, it also utilises a list of known applications to minimise pop-up alerts. Other useful extras in McAfee Internet Security Suite include a home network setup app and a full backup program that can schedule regular backups.
Despite a few shortcomings in terms of its reporting and interface, it's - generally speaking - a well-designed suite with some useful features. Having said that, better malware-detection would be a huge plus.

I'd say this is a very basic easy security package, you have the option to protect your children from harmful websites and it is very simple to install and easy and have no complaints about the job it does, it works quietly in the background, the only slight downside is it has some incompatibility issues and asks you to remove various things in order to install this which not being a complete computer expert made me wonder if what i had before might have been more protection. But havent noticed any speed issues, it seems to run fine and havent encountered any problems as of yet, it is a good budget package for all the family. Overall though the best security package i have ever come across is kaspersky, id choose that over everything but always open to try new packages and as i said i do recommend this.

This is a reasonable security suite that does everything you'd want it to - and sometimes goes the extra mile and does things you don't want it to! It certainly gives a decent level of protection and has some nice features like the simple colour-coding of websites according to how safe they are.
However, it has its problems. Aside from taking quite a while to install and a long, long time to scan anything, it also takes it upon itself to 'protect' you from sites you really don't need protecting from, using things such as keyword scanning.
Whilst its perhaps less intrusive and annoying than Norton, it's still irritating when it does things like that without your permission. Personally I prefer AVG which makes much less of a nuisance of itself. I can't deny though that McAfee has a lot of features, and some might find this interesting or reassuring.

The latest version of McAfee Security Suite comes with the obvious Virus checker, Firewall and spamkiller, all of which are tried and tested over years and work great. It also comes with tonnes of extras including tools to keep your computer running smoothly and various other things. All of these things are great, but have previously been included in earlier versions. The only noticable difference I have seen is that it rates websites for security; it does so by having a coloured bar at the bottom of the screen indicating green, orange or red. I still think McAfee is the best Security software you can get, and on that basis I have given it 5 stars.

McAfee have stablished themselves as one of the leading computer security programme makers and this product shows why. You can be sure that your (3 users)are protected all the time they are online.
Easy to install and easy to run.
