hi there. this is a grat product. easy to use and great interface.
easy to get rid of nero 7. if you are still having probs. get registry cleaner and delete the registery of nero 7. emphasis on - do not delete of registries, apps may not work.

I found that using the add/remove programs facility via the control panel did not completely remove Nero 7. However using the Nero Productsetup program from tools did a complete unsinstall. I had no problems installing Nero 8, though in the end I went back to NEro 7 as I preferred that user interface. I uninstalled Nero 8 using the Nero 8 setup program -using add/remove programs via the control panel did not result in a complete uninstall.

This software is incredibly good. It's a must have if this is your think. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
P.S. I had no problems with getting rid of Nero 7 and installing Nero 8!

hi i had the same problem as the above reviewer. I am Running windows vista premium i did a full system recovery to get rid of nero 7 as nero 8 said that nero 7 was still loaded on my system even after i had removed it via add & remove programs in control panel. as for nero 8 the software seems fine once installed and i have had no problems while using the software so far. Hope this helps

If you have a previous version of Nero do not buy this. You need to remove previous version (in my case 6) but it won't allow it. Doesn't matter how you try, through the add/remove programmes, the registry, the tool that Nero kindly have on their website. Spoke to their tech guys downloaded a programme to help them check my setings. Will take a week to sort. No thanks. If I buy something I wan't / expect it to work now. Be warned. Have returned it and got a refund.
