 Listen up, this is a "real break" out family tree product October 24, 2007

Mr Wilkinson cut your jibber jabber. This software is the best thing to have come my way this year. For sure, if you're a "seasoned" family historian, thi s product may not be for you, but for the many thousands more who are new to this area, this is the best introduction possible for getting started with one's family history. I received my as a birthday gift and have certainly caught the genealogy bug for sure, so would highly recommend to other family history "virgins" out there. The fact it's tied in with Ancestry's substantial record sets makes it an unmissible piece of kit. As Mr T himself would have said (I salute you A(ncestry) team, this tool kicks.

If you are a long time user of earlier version of Family Tree Maker you're in for a shock.
A TOTALLY different look and feel, utterly non-intuitive and cluttered design, and missing features which many serious Genealogists consider essential such as Ahnentafel reports.
If you liked version upto 2006 then stick with it, give this one a wide berth.
Shame on you Ancestry for ruining the market leading software.
