I would agree with other reviewers that this monitor is great value for money.
The sound quality is excellent with no irritating buzzing/hissing that you can get with poorer quality monitors. We had a Tomy monitor for our eldest child and this BT one puts it to shame!
Neat looking and easy to use. I would highly recommend it to all new parents.

We bought this before our daughter was born and she's now nearly 3 and it's still going strong. We expect it to do good service for her new sibling now that he/she is on the way. The sound quality is excellent and the range is pretty impressive too. You can take the parent end quite a distance down the garden and still stay in touch. The only reason that it's a 4 star rather than 5 is that the buttons aren't particularly intuitive in the way they work and you have to press and hold for a few moments to register a button press. Once you've worked this out, it's very simple and easy to uese however.

I purchased a BT Digital Baby Monitor from Amazon in June and was extreamly happy with the clarity, use of use etc (although concur on the battery life).
8 weeks later and the parent unit LCD display indicated noise in my baby's bedroom but the parent unit was silent. We increased the volume on the parent unit but still nothing. Seconds later there was an almight scream from the parent unit as it sprang into life. This problem continued for 2 nights until I called Amazon and asked for a replacement.
Amazon were excellent and sent us a new unit and refunded out postage on the returned one. Unfortunatly, less than 3 weeks later the same problem has occured. Needless to say we were very unhappy about this and Amazon has refunded us without any questions but we are without a monitor for 3 nights waiting on the new one.
Could this be a bad batch from BT/Amazon?

That's the third baby monitor I've bought (the first two were disapointing in sound quality and battery duration) and I am very happy. It's loud and clear, very sensitive.
My advice, don't use the included 1300mAh recharchable batteries. I used two high quality 2700 mAh AA batteries and there is no problem with the battery duration. It lasts really long (I would say two days when fully charged provided that you don't set the sensitivity to maximum and force the parent unit to always "work" picking sounds).

I deliberated for ages on buying a monitor for my 3 month old, as i've such a small flat. Though this monitor has been worth its weight in gold for the amount of anxiety it has reduced in me. No longer do I have to keep checking on him or straining my ears to hear if he's okay. It picks up the tiniest of sounds and the light guage is excellent as I can see the sound levels whilst i'm in the shower or watching tv. I think he's slightly bemused about the talk back facility.. probably wondering how his mum turned into a wee green box.. but overall a brilliant purchase.
