5 out of 5 stars Great Fun!   June 8, 2007

It's a great toy and alot of fun for the price. The controls allow you to alter the speed of the main rotor to alter the lift, also the speed of the tail rotor to turn the helicopter. With judicious application of the stick on weights you can balance the model so that it drifts forward when in stable flight. It takes a bit of practice to get this thing to go in roughly the direction you want it too but that is half the fun.

5 out of 5 stars What fun   February 19, 2007

Bought this for my partner as a bit of fun - turns out it's tons of fun. Still haven't got much directional control over the helicopter but watching it hover around the lounge is quite impressive. Not surpringingly, it's suffered lots and lots of crashes, and the thing is still intact so I've found it more robust than others had suggested.

5 out of 5 stars the best invention since the wheel!   January 22, 2007

i highly recomend these little `time passer`s` as they are simply so easy to fly by pretty much anybody, easy to pick up but imposible to put down again, you will soon find the hours slipping by! a few words of caution however i feel i must point out,if it dos`nt say piccoz on the box, then dont buy it,i unfortunatly purchased two lesser items as gifts this xmas, only to find them of such poor quality when removed from the box that when we came to use them they didnt so much fly,as hover badly about one inch from the ground before one ceased to work atall, leaving dissapointment and a few long face`s on crimbo day,so please take heed! on a lighter note,as i mentioned earlier, buy a real piccoz and you`ll wonder how you ever managed without one!

5 out of 5 stars Wow!!   January 10, 2007

My wife bought this for me for Christmas and I was amazed at how small it was and how easy it was to fly. The first minute is always a bit hairy, but you find it a lot easier to control thereafter.

You can fly it in a small room, though I would advise that you practise in a room with soft floors and furniture to save damaging it whilst you get the hang of the controls. They say you can fly it outdoors, but only if there is no wind!!

You charge the helicopter from the transmitter and it takes about 30 minutes - it has a flight time of 5-6 minutes.

For all you flying fans - this is a MUST!

4 out of 5 stars Too much fun!!   January 2, 2007

I have always been fascinated by helicopters but the larger remote controlled models of them had been way above my budget so when I started seeing advertisements for this one my eyes lit up. I HAD to have one! When mine arrived (2 days earlier than anticipated I might add) I was like a child on Christmas morning. I'm sure the postman could sense my excitement and anticipation as I signed for the package with some urgency. I ripped open the wrapping and carefully opened the box and took the contents out. After inserting the batteries using the screwdriver (provided), I read through the operating instructions while I charged the helicopter. The instructions were easy to follow. Now it was time for my first flight. The first few attempts were a little frustrating as all I managed to do was to send the machine hurtling across the room about 2 inches from the floor! After several further attempts I was able to take off and fly the helicopter in a reasonably controlled manner. After only 20-30 minutes experimenting with the controls I was able to keep the helicopter airborn and steer it exactly where I wanted it to go. I was flying!! Well worth the money, extremely good fun and very addictive. If you're a parent buying one for your child don't be tempted to 'test it to see if it works okay' first otherwise your child might never get to play with it. You have been warned!!!
