Sky high fun July 25, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is so cool, got one this morning and took it to work, big mistake, everyone wanted to have a go. Managed to get a few minutes to play with it myself. The first thing to do is charge it fully, then spend a few minutes calibrating the helicopter. The aluminum weights provided in the box was useless so I used a drawing pin instead, so much more effective. Then all you need to do is practice. Crashed the Helicopter several times and not a scrach, very durable. Only thing to watch out for is if you have air conditioning it will effect the flight, also you cant use it outdoors unless there is no wind at all. A must buy, looking forward to getting home and playing with it in peace.
Get the genuine Picoo Z July 6, 2007 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
You must make sure you get the genuine Silverlit Picoo Z to really enjoy this amazing toy. I have noticed that even some of the retailers with links on amazon are selling items called a 'pico z' and other such spellings. These can sometimes be lower quality copies. Check the spelling of your product carefully and you won't be disappointed. Happy, happy, flying !
Addictive toy!! July 1, 2007 89 out of 90 found this review helpful
My nephew bought me this as a Christmas gift & I haven't stopped playing with it since! I found that it required a little more nose weight to give it forward momentum (Blue Tack sorted that out)but once I had added the extra nose weight it flew beautifully. As a former pilot I can tell you it's flight characteristics are quite realistic & once you get the hang of the slight delay from the infra red transmitter the helicopter is very controllable. It is an indoor toy only as the infra red transmitter requires walls to bounce the 'beam' to the helicopter & as it's made from styrofoam any light breeze would blow it away. Initially I broke a couple of tail rotors on our laminate floor but these are available in packs of 3 from Firebox.com quite cheaply - since then I've taken to flying it in carpeted areas of the house! Buy one, you certainly won't be disappointed!
Great Fun June 22, 2007 66 out of 66 found this review helpful
This remote controlled helicopter is fantastic fun. I got one for my birthday and have been playing with it since. My dad has a go everytime he pops over, so I guess I would say 'fun for all ages'. Takes a while to get used to the controls, but once you do it is really good. Good value for money and despite having crashed it numerous times it is still going and working well.
