The small version of the Gorillapod was bought for use with a compact digital zoom camera. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, light to carry and easy to fix the camera onto. It is practical, durable, flexible and versatile. It can easily be bent into all kinds of shapes to hold the camera just where you want it and fixes on to all kinds of things by twisting the legs around. Just the job if you don't want to carry a standard full-size tripod.

Mine only turned up this morning and not having much else to do today I have spent the last few hours wrapping it round all sorts of stuff including branches, bannisters, curtain rails, door handles and the list goes on. With a little thought I don't think there is much you can't attach a Gorillapod too and not get good pictures, excellent piece of kit that will come with me wherever my camera goes.

Why buy a tabletop tripod, a clamp or a bean bag type mount for your camera, when this does the job of all three in one?
Whatever type of photography you do, you'll find this to be a really handy addition to your photographic rig.
Its very light, easy to use and can be used as a mount almost anywhere (the selection of photos give you the idea) but most importantly its rock solid as a support base for your camera. Its so good I'll be getting one for my mum for her birthday.
I would however recommend looking for a good quality quick release tripod head to go with it. This will allow precise positioning of your shots when you need it (for example low light situations), and speedy ditching of the gorilla pod when you're shooting handheld.

Not only is this the perfect camera accessory, it also happens to be un-put-downable: an addictive office toy!
It's much lighter than I expected too, will come in handy for day trips, rugby games (Haven't tested that yet, but I can picture it attached to the railings/seat in front), camping, and trips abroad!
