Top-notch fun with James Stewart and Ginger Rogers February 14, 2006

When a conservative botany professor (Stewart) from a small upstate NY university goes to NYC to collect his playboy cousin, he falls head over heels for a nightclub singer/dancer (Rogers). The fun doesn't start until he returns home... married!!!, and he has to break the news to his stodgy father, who, by the way, also happens to be the university president, as well as to his fiance.The story takes fun and entertaining twists and turns as Stewart has to deal with a wife, fiance, mother with "heart problems", an amorous cousin, and an entire school full of flirting students. The Vivacious Lady also features one of the best slap scenes in cinematic history! 5 stars all the way for fun, romance, and misadventure.
