5 out of 5 stars The Quarrel With Charlie Hall   December 21, 2004

Three classic comedy capers with Stan & Ollie, County Hospital (1932), Them Thar Hills (1934) and Tit For Tat (1935). I must say, this is a very fine collection with first-released format in the titling.
County Hospital's funniest bit of action is when Stan lifts up a Pendulum and Ollie's foot comes down. The Doctor (Billy Gilbert) tries to grab it from him, but falls out the window (and you can imagine about Ollie!).
Them Thar Hills and Tit For Tat both feature quarrels with Charlie Hall. Tit For Tat is 50% funnier though, especially the bit when Stan & Ollie dump a Can of 'Rex Pure Lard' upside-down on Charlie Hall (with the lid off.
This is not to be missed.

5 out of 5 stars Stan & Ollie   March 9, 2003

Three all time greats from Stan & Ollie. Their perfect comedic timing is without equal. The subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, facial expressions and takes are priceless. Three excellent short films.

5 out of 5 stars Contains some of Stan and Ollie's great comic moments!   December 10, 2000

Ollie is just enjoying a peaceful few days in County Hospital recovering from a broken leg... until Stan decides to pay a visit! Billy Gilbert appears as the long-suffering doctor. In Them Thar Hills, Ollie is advised to take a trip in the mountains to help his gout. The result becomes more bibulous and more hilarious. Stan and Ollie decide to open an electrical store in Tit for Tat - only to become embroiled in a bitter feud with Charlie Hall, owner of the neighbouring grocers shop. I watch these again and again, such comic genius never ceases to bring pleasure!
