 A beautiful counting book September 5, 2003
This is a beautiful counting book - with a very imaginative and dreamlike quality to it. I only wish that I could claim the credit for the illustrations, but alas, despite the fact that they are currently ascribed to me (Steve Augarde), they were in fact produced by the very wonderful Atsuko Morozumi. Sorry Atsuko - it wasn't me, honest.
Just a lovely preschool book! September 6, 1998
The art work in this lovely book is incredible. It also lends itself to reading and re-reading. For the youngest children, you can point at different parts of the lovely pictures (they are set in different seasons and environments), and as they mature, you can "hunt" for the different animals in each picture. (one gorilla, two budgerigars,...nine cats...). A true gem!
