 black and white not a problem June 30, 2007
This is an excellent and concise intro to respiratory medicine. It does what it says on the tin. System based physiology is almost ready made for revision and this book makes it easy to see the clinical relevance of what is at times could seem dry and too lab based (physics, gas laws, etc.) It really didn't bother me that it wasn't in colour - and that kind of thing normally does.
A useful basic textbook June 27, 2007
This book is a really good book for the basics of respiratory physiology/medicine. It's very concise and easy to read. It's lacking in colour though and I would not use it as my main text. It's definitely a basic/revision book, but I am guessing the title implies that. For the money it's a useful addition to your bookshelf though.
Respiratory Revision made easy! February 8, 2007
This book is an amazing guide to the respiratory system. It makes the journey so easy through clear diagrams and concise text. I would recommend this book as a revision guide and reference along with your core study books. It is a great book - if you want concise, and easy-to-understand this is the book for you!!
Comprehensive revision tool January 18, 2007
'The Respiratory System at a Glance' is succinct and detailed enough to help medical students know all they need to, at undergraduate level, about the respiratory system. Well laid out. Could maybe do with colour instead of two-tone illustrations. All in all, a very useful aid for undergrad medicine.

The book is a good read, it has everything you would need to know as a medical student, however i have personally found books just as in depth and the same price that are far easier to read and are in colour. there are some great sections in the book as has been previsouly mentionned, however i did not find the layout particularly easy, and the fact that it is in black and white makes it quite boring when doing copious amounts of work from it (even with the funky tables charts and pictures)
