1 out of 5 stars Dodgy in places   December 18, 2000

This book has been featured in several articles about 'Ideal Christmas Presents' so I thought it'd be great for a 15 year old. Although there are many interesting and fun pages, what previous reviewers have omitted is that there are several pages dedicated to details such as "How to hot-wire a car" and "How to pick a car door lock". I'm sure my friend's son would have loved this book. However, as I fear it may have been the end of my friendship with his mother, I shall never know.

3 out of 5 stars It's alright   December 13, 2000
To be honest, this book is for a select few, I nearly found the book very good but it just got an all right. They are nothing really funny about this book it is the way you perceive it. For instance I talked through the actions of walking on top of a train from the book doing the actions to emphasise how to do it. If you just sat down reading it you would not even break into a smile. Unless you have one of those odd sense of humours which I happily have, kind of watching the league of gentlemen...

5 out of 5 stars Fanastically entertaining book   December 12, 2000
This is a great book, very funny and very entertaining. With great titles such as 'How to perform a Tracheotomy' and 'How to ram a car', who wouldn't like it? I've bought for my Dad, and I know he'll enjoy it :)

4 out of 5 stars Good book but a little "off-the-wall"   December 6, 2000

I found a kid reading this book whilst in the USA in the summer and was intrigued so much that I went out and bought a copy. It's a great read, quite funny really, and most of the things in it you'll never have to do, but nevertheless, it might be useful one day! Having said that, at points the book is really a bit too obvious - it spends several pages explaining something which is really extremely simple and which would really only require common sense.

1 out of 5 stars Very disappointing !!!   December 6, 2000

I had hoped that given the high sales of this title and the highly rated reviews of the other induhviduals that this title would at least offer some entertainment for the more cerebral reader. This was obviously too much too ask for.

I would advise all readers who are capable of uttering speech without dribbling not to purchase this utterly shallow and mind-numbing 'book'.
