A beautifully written story with spellbinding illustrations November 9, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has captivated children of all ages for many years. These beautiful illustrations add depth and meaning to Jill Tomlinson's story, giving the reader the chance to imagine the characters in action.
A brilliant storey that has stuck with me through childhood. February 4, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was one of the first books that i ever read when i was at primary school. Ive always wondered were i could find it to buy but i had no luck. I had an idea that if i searched amazon they may well sell it, which they do, now im so looking forward to reading it again and maybe one day i can share this lovely storey when i decide to have children and their old enough to read.
A very moving story about an iccle owl...... June 2, 1999 I found the owl's experiences were very true to my own fear of the dark. I realised that if an owl could get over his fear, then there must be hope for a bat, for example. And maybe, one day, perhaps even myself. My only wish now is that Jill Tomlinson would write a sequel, and dedicate to this particular bat, perhaps calling it "The Bat Who Was Afraid Of The Dark". Thank-you Jill.
The first book I ever bought and the best! February 7, 1999 This book made a huge impression on me. It was the first one I ever saved up for and bought myself, and the first I read on my own. It is the funniest book I've found and every child, (whether 3, or 20) will find something to love about Plop. At university I have found more people who loved it!
