Having seen Bill Bailey's hilarious outing on Room 101 - particularly his musical humour - this was an instant 'must have' as soon as I spotted it.His 'spoof' performances (Richard Clayderman plays 'Three Blind Mice' etc.) are spot on, and I'm so pleased to know that I'm not the only person in the universe who would get to that particular point in the Grieg Piano Concerto and mentally insert "'ave a banana!!" :D Be aware, though, that some of the excerpts are very, very short (Scooby Doo, for example), and the material does suffer a little for being studio-bound - hence only four stars rather than five. Niggle aside, this is a fun CD, with some really excellent tracks. Many will be familiar from Bill's tour shows ('Medieval Porn'/'Jean Michel Jarre'/'Drum and Bush' etc), but others were new ones to me (not having been fortunate to have encountered the mildly apocalyptic 'Insect Nation' before) and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Finally you too can listen to the world of Bill Bailey without having to be near to a television! It's great to end up laughing outside of your own home without anyone understanding. It does miss the studio audience and you cant appreciate some of it without seeing bill bailey live , but if you have , you'll love it!
Hats off to Bill Bailey October 18, 2003 43 out of 44 found this review helpful
Bill Bailey is one of the most modern, progressive and, of course, hilarious, comedians of our time. He combines his off the wall sense of humour with his amazing musical talent to great effect, guaranteed to make even the grumpiest old fart chuckle. This CD contains his greatest hits - the funniest songs written and performed by the man himself. Only Bill Bailey could write a song about racism using Zebras as subject matter, or put to music the story of a bloke called Terry stealing the "leg of time". I would therefore thoroughly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys a silly song and a good laugh!
