All praise the awesome majesty that is Judd Winick!

He's only gone and done it again hasn't he?

Quite simply Barry Ween is one of the funniest things you will ever read.

Barry Ween is kind of like Dexter's lab (boy genius) mixed with South Park (S%*$ loads of D!(& jokes), but it goes so far beyond. Barry (a 10 year old with an IQ of 350) spends his time like any other gifted 10 year old; visiting the art gallery and the zoo, hanging out with his friends, going camping with his parents. Its just that things tend to happen to him... whether its accidentally turning his best friend into a dinosaur, having his parents abducted by a hungry Big Foot, or just being abducted by extra dimensional gorillas (the monkey kind).

The thing is, that Barry Ween isn't just pant wettingly funny (it is...) or clever (yup, guilty again...) but it is also fantastically well written. The stories get better with every collection. Judd really makes you really feel for Barry. He's not just another comic character, you can truly empathise with him, despite him being a 10 year old super-genius. In fact, if you can read the final story in this collection without getting a bit damp eyed over the little guy's plight, then you just aren't human.

Now stop reading this boring review and go buy the book... in fact buy all the Barry Ween books (there are only 4, it won't break the bank) and buy the 2 Frumpy the Clown collections too while you're at it!
