If you are interested in nature photography then this is a must have for the bookshelf. It is not just about taking macro type photographs as I thought it might be, but covers the use of a wide range of lenses and deals with the various problems you may run into. I read it early in my photographic 'career' and it also explained a few mystical terms and basic principles that I have applied in the rest of my photography since. You get all this plus the addition of dozens of fantastic photographs to admire and inspire you. For me the acid test of this type of book is whether I continue to pick it up after the first read. I do and will continue to do so for years to come!
