As first time campers we opted for the well known AA book. We were very disappointed with the selection of campsites and did not find the book easy to use. There are far better books on the market.

A handy book, worth buying if you like moving between sites. Plenty of information inside to help you make an informed decision about staying places although I wouldn't visit a site without reading additional web reviews. At least you can see what sites are in an area. Comes with maps as well as rough prices. Only thing, I can't help thinking that this book may possibly be sponsored by some of the bigger 'featured' sites that get seemingly preferential reviews even though they are not entirely all they are cracked up to be.
Still, for a tenner you can't go wrong in general.
