Thanks for the Memories August 31, 2008 I loved this book - it was a typical 'Ahern' story where anything can happen but written so well you couldn't help but go with it! I laughed out loud at a couple of brilliant descriptions (an airport through the eyes of someone who hasn't been through one for a while!!) and really fell in love with the father. The ending turned me to mush which was just what I wanted! As long as you are prepared for a light, entertaining, old romantic read, this is the book for you.
Charming and feel good read August 29, 2008 I loved this book - the way Cecelia connects people without them initially meeting is creative and original. From start to finish its addictive. Sweet story line, witty and leaves you wanting more Ahern!
Thanks for the memories August 28, 2008 What a fantastic book! I have to say I couldn't put this down when I was reading it on holiday recently in Spain. My family thought I was mad laughing out loud and needing a tissue in other parts. My favourite character has to be Joyce's Dad - it was so funny when he was at the airport trying to get to London. I wish I had someone so funny in my family!!! I recommend this book to anyone, this is definately my favourite Cecelia Ahern book so far - way better than PS I love you.
God Help us! August 19, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Having ploughed through the endless he said she saids of this laborious task in search of one interesting page i was grief stricken to find that this book was not only predictable, irritating and badly written but i actually stopped reading it on the second last page because i wouldn't give the author the pleasure of five more minutes of my time. I felt she already owes me, not only the time i wasted reading it, but i'd also like my money back if that is at all possible
How this woman got away with such drivel and had it published amazes me.
p.s. You can have those memories back!
