Gorilla Doctors an interesting and moving account June 1, 2005 This is a great book to introduce kids to animal conservation and the kind of projects that really make a difference.The gorilla doctors have their own vet clinic and care for local gorilla's found caught in traps, orphaned or diseased and bring them back to health. Working with the local communities they are helping them to understand the beauty and importance of saving these amazing animals. It is written in a very matter of fact way, at times humorous at others sad but without getting sentimental or overbearing. The photographs are really magical and make the book instantly appealing. My little boy loved it!
