Great Book, Fun to Read !!! August 10, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I loved the format of this book - James writes his views, then Mary writes hers and so it continues throughout the book. Very enjoyable, so fun to read about both sides of the story (or scandal as the case may be!). Being the first political book I had ever read and enjoyed, I have recommended it to friends and family members. But I still want to know---how can James and Mary stay married with such different points of view in politics????? Maybe that should be their next novel, if so I am first in line to read it!!!!
this blows July 13, 1999 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
This book is the worse tasting mix of words i have ever seen, and hopefully, no one will ever write about George Bush, because he is by far the worst and lamest man alive!
READ THIS BOOK February 26, 1999 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are at all interested in politics, Presidential campaigns, buy and read this book! I agree with one of the other reviewers: I wish Carville and Matalin would go head-to-head again so I can read another book by both of them!
Carville and Matalin sizzle! February 18, 1999 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Terrific book on the dirty game of politics. I cheered and laughed until the final word. I hope these two tangle one more time in a political campaign just so they can write about!
Charming and Insightful February 8, 1999 The best things about this book were Carville's folksy charisma and Matalin's graceful candor. I am a democrat who continues to gain respect for Matalin's charm and after reading this book, I even appreciate the wacky world that Carville lives in. Real life look into a presidential campaign which brought the larger than life spectacle that is a presidential race, to the level of the average reader. Bravo.
