if you want one guide to local birding, buy this one. superb December 8, 1999

this is simply the most well researched in depth detailed local guide to birding i have ever seen. if you only buy one area guide, make sure this is it. small enough to sit in the car/pocket/bag at all times and you'll kick yourself if you leave it at home.
