Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Something of a dissapointment   August 4, 2005

This book cannot be honestly described as a classic text on photographic composition. It is a compendium of one commercial US photographer's shots, many of them related to advertising and some are quite good. But what really got me was the almost total absence of landscape photography; given that two of his landscape pics were quite poor it's probably because he doesn't know how to do it. Indeed, landscape photography isn't mentioned in the contents or the index. The 'scenic' photo (as he calls it) on p131 is just terrible. Rule of thirds? No mention. Save your money.
