Incredible!!! January 9, 2005 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This book covers all imaginable birding locations of this vast and varied country from the Himalayas to the Andaman Islands, and from the deserts of Rajahstan to the rainforests of the North-East. Plenty of obscure, little-known reserves are included. All sites are described in detail, with information on access, facilities, route maps, etc. There are also comments on wildlife other than birds, making this perhaps the best guidebook to any ecotourist, not just to birders. At the back there is a checklist of Indian birds, plus a long list of birds that are of particular interest, with comments on the best locations to see each of these. Really as good as guidebooks get!
