5 out of 5 stars Wizards, do not miss this book !   August 23, 2004

If you are a serious Occultist and have done any kind of practical Magic (no, I do not like the spelling magick, too Crowley like) then you should not miss this very useful manual. It takes you by hand and shows you how to create your magical entities. I have always been intrigued in familiars and this book has really helped me understanding their nature.

I would recommend this book together with that of Mr John Michael Greer (Monsters: An Investigator's Guide to Magical Beings) to get a complete picture of the magical beings you want to get acquainted with.

5 out of 5 stars Interesting and full of useful ideas   July 9, 2004

This is really a very useful little book. It shows the theory and practice of creating magical servitors to accomplish various ends.

I do question some of the methods the authors used and implicitly encourage such as building a servitor which will "haunt" a flat and which is made stronger by magical banishing - nifty, nasty and tempting... But that does not detract from the theory and praxis of the art. Magic itself if not good or evil, simply a tool which can be used for either
